Steel War
Economic Blessing or Public Nuisance?
Rarely does a political issue lead to such differing opinions as the globalization of trade. The discussions are emotionally charged, even though large parts of the global population benefit from low prices for products made in low-wage countries. As a result, the system seems to be functioning satisfactorily. But who pays the bill?
A vivid example of a real trade war
Based on the recent disputes between the USA, Brazil, and the European Union regarding steel trade, the documentation illustrates how the global trading system works and how individual countries fight for their own interests. It also explains how such trade wars affect the lives and working conditions of seemingly uninvolved countries.
