Hunger is one of the most serious and complex problems of our time. According to the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization), it is possible to feed 12 billion people today. Nevertheless, one billion people worldwide suffer from chronic hunger. How can this be explained? What influence do subsidies in wealthy agricultural countries have?
