The struggle for work
More and more people are entering the labor market: young people, the laid-off, immigrants. The struggle for work is a fight of everyone against everyone, in traditional industrialized countries as well as in emerging economies. In his fourth film, former State Secretary for Economy David Syz shows how different cultures deal with unemployment and explores whether individual countries could learn from one another. The focus is on Spain with 27% and South Korea with 4% unemployment.
Trailer:
Based on these questions and contradictions, we travel through the USA, Peru, Senegal, and into Europe. And we tell stories of people who benefit from globalization, but also suffer because of it.
